Yoga Therapist

Michelle Kronenberg has been a yoga therapist in private practice for over 20 years, specializing in working with clients who have experienced trauma or PTSD originating from pain, cancer, terminal illness, rape, car accidents, addiction, pain, anxiety, and depression.

Michelle has cultivated keen sensitivity and intuition, enabling her to guide and support individuals in a process of healing and self-discovery. Her therapeutic yoga approach creates a safe and supportive environment where she leads clients into deep levels of relaxation, using Restorative yoga, Somatic meditation and Mindful awareness techniques. She assists them in their becoming more embodied, helping blocked energy to flow freely, creating space and breath awareness in the body. This in turn calms the nervous system, and creates an openness and deeper connection to the present, where a healing shift can occur. Clients leave Michelle’s sessions feeling both peaceful and uplifted, and are empowered with a greater resilience and tools to transform the way they deal with stress and pain.

Michelle draws from many modalities in her work with individuals, including spiritual psychology from her Masters program at the University of Santa Monica, and training at the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. She is an E-RYT 500 certified yoga alliance teacher & teacher trainer, and currently teaches at her studio in Malibu, and at Yoga Works. Michelle has taught for many of the top yoga schools in Los Angeles, and has led workshops, retreats, and trainings internationally.

Michelle’s passion for self inquiry & her knowledge in the fields of trauma healing and wellness continue to inform her life’s purpose in facilitating others on their path to optimal health.
